Welcome

A tradition that began in 2008, PYCheM celebrates its 10th edition and returns to one of its first cities: Porto, specifically at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP), from the 2^nd to the 5^th of May.

The Portuguese Young Chemists Group (Grupo de Químicos Jovens Portugueses – GQJ) continues its mission to elevate and support Portugal's young chemists and those from all over the world!

Historically, the PYCheM has featured chemists from different nationalities and recognised experts in all sub-areas of chemistry. Over the last year, more and more national and international students have joined us. In this edition, we are committed to giving all chemists the opportunity to share their research and foster new ideas, discussions, and collaborations.

The city of Porto is ready to welcome you! Easy to reach (by plane, train, bus, or car), you can enjoy stunning views and visit historical monuments like Torre dos Clérigos, the famous Porto Wine cellars, or the historic Livraria Lello.

Awards for the best presentations in various categories will recognise outstanding contributions. Additionally, a round table with Young Chemists from the European Chemical Societies will offer perspectives on the role of young chemists in shaping the future.
